Wheelock Teacher Resource CentreThe visit to the resource centre was an eye-opener for me. Looking at the variety and types of materials such as toys, hand-made materials, art materials, computer sofeware resources, guide books, books for children, inspired me to want to try out everything in the room and bring them into my classroom in the future. I am especially interested in the educational type of games which helps children to learn through play. These materials can also be used in play therapy work with children.
One of the places where we could get unique educational resources that was introduced to us was the Henry Bear's Park, located walking distance from our campus. Web:
http://www.henrybear.com/ The toys were pretty interesting, and I could adapt some of it and make my own to be used in class:) and maybe if i want to set up a games cafe for children or a parent-teacher resource centre in Singapore.
