Was out with Weiyi in search of XXXX's present.
Mission accomplished. YAYs!
Thank You Weiyi for accompanying me!
Haven found _______'s present though.
Before that, we met Yeetheng and Michelle at Macs while eating our lunch at like 4 plus=.=
Then I went to meet my mama at Lavendar to cut my fringe.
At first, I just wanted to cut it slightly above my eye brows.
My mum told the hairdresser, "剪短一点."
It became shorter.
My mum said again, "剪短一点, 很快长的!"
Then it became even shorter.
CMI seriously. I dun wanna take picture of it (you'll know when u see me).
Moral of the story: free haircut? the hairdresser listens to the person paying for it.
Went with my mama to my dad's stall at Aljunid. My mama goes there to help out every evening except Mon and Thurs. When we reached, I was the first to be served dinner (cos my dad asked me to chose the dishes I want). Then he took out steamed fish from the wok, which he said he specially prepared cos he overheard my mama and my conversation of gg to cut hair tgt. Touched. Later, he wanted to get a drink for me. As he couldn't drink too much water, he wanted to share with me -sports water (which has the pyramid logo), but I didn't want to drink that. Then, got me "Blue-jelly" drink. I wanna laughing my heads of at this, cos he meant blueberry drink.
I was sitting at the table right in front of the stall the whole time. Watching them serve every customer made me see that whatever I have now doesn't come easy. Each plate of curry rice is $2.50 to $4 (asam fish). How many they have to serve to have $10? 3-4 plates. $100? 30-40 plates? $1000? 300-400 plates? Taking into consideration of the rent of the place, the utility bills, pay of dishwasher, the rubbish collector and the plate collector, they don't really earn much.
Then, we ate tgt:) Like finally, aft all the customer crowd subsided. My mama and dad are super cute. Their conversation was quite hilarious. My mama keep reminding my dad that he's not supposed to drink too much water, cos he still owes the doctor 800g of water to lose in his body, while my dad is the one trying all sorts of means to get us to buy drinks so he can take "big" sips from it. Uber funny. It was quality time spent!
I learnt that even when we have money, we should spend it on what is neccessary. Like daily needs, transport and education. I will cut down on my shopping expenditure and whatever extra expenditure. Cos in the first place, I didn't earn that money that I have. Even if I do, it's still better to save for rainy days and more worthy causes like feeding the needy in mission trips and blessing my loved ones and friends around me. The same amount might look little to us, but it can do much more for others:)
