RESTING
Quote - 'Come aside by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while.' - Mark 6:31
You're going to love this;
Rest comes in a deserted place. Where no people are.
This is immensely difficult for a leader;
- to come aside from their work,
- to locate in a deserted place alone,
- to remain there for a while,
- to rest, that is to stop working,
However, this is an art that must be mastered, otherwise the leader's faculties will wear out.
They will render themselves useless.
Rest adds up to recovery, creativeness, energy.
Find a deserted place, go there and do nothing.
A miracle will happen!
Stepping out with you,
Phil Pringle

The 5 Love Languages
My Score~
Words of Affirmation: 2
Quality Time: 7
Receiving of Gifts: 5
Acts of Service: 12
Physical Touch: 4
Find out yours too!
Our Love Lauguage greatly affects how we strive in our relationship with others. We show our love in 1 or 2 prominent ways and would feel loved if our needs are met through that 1 or 2 prominent ways. For myself, I would feel loved the most when people do things for me, even at their inconvenience and I try to serve others in the same way to show how much I love them.
In light of this, we may not reach out to every single person due to our prominent love language and we think that we just don't click with certain people. Well, it's true in a way. But why not think about how you can meet the needs of others and care of people around you according to their love language. Let's make each other feel loved and important.
It takes every single one of us to take the initiative to change. I believe all of us could pin point the problem. Don't just analyse the problem, face it and solve it. Otherwise, the same old problem is just going to rise again after it is swept under the carpet for years and we bear the consequences of it.
Our God is omnipotent, He is always there to meet our love language in different ways, be it encouraging us, providing for us, spending time to fellowship with us, embracing us and sending us a helper, the Holy Spirit. One single person can't meet the needs of every person in the group, as we are not perfect in love. Thus, we need to be united and play our part. There must be certain people who are within our influence and are part of our lives. It's whether we are willing to serve or we just stay enclosed within our own lives and business.
To sacrifice our time for our friends and families whose love language is quality time. To give our love ones whose love language is physical touch, a hug. To encourage people with our words of affirmation. To make or buy gifts for each other to make each one of us feel special. To serve and be willing to help and listen always. You choose. You're that difference.

Running After You
by Planet Shakers
Your Word is a light unto my path
Your Love guides me through my darkest night
And even though sometimes Your ways
I cannot understand
I’ll never walk away because my future’s
In Your hands
I don’t care what people will say
I’m running after You
I won’t turn back and go their way
Coz I’m running after You
Yeah I’m running after You
I’m running after You(I will run to You)
I don’t care what people will say
I’m running after You
I won’t turn back and go their way
Coz I’m running after You
Don’t matter what may come my way
I’m running after you
It’s You I’m following today
I’m running after You
I’m running after You

I felt greatly blessed by the Lord when I was reminded of how my upbringing and people in my life or used to be part of my life (teachers, friends, cell group members, children, leaders) have moulded my character in some ways which I felt really has benefited me now.
I learn to..
1. Be independent in all things that I do (from my mama).

6. To take risk and try things out (from Hsueh Min, Pam and my brother)
7. To seek solutions rather than focusing on the problem (from my secondary school teachers and Guo Xiong)
8. To value friendship (from my dad).

HUMILITY
Quote - '... I would have made a good pope." - Richard M. Nixon (1913 - 1994)
You're going to love this;
Humility knows we need God. Say, 'I need You God.'
Humility knows we need others. Say, 'I need other people.'
Humility recognises now great we are not. Say, 'Lord, You've done it all.'
Humility admits our own shortcomings and congratulates others on their successes.
Humility serves others we consider our equal or less.Humility waits patiently. Say, 'I am patient.'
Humility restrains anger. Say, 'I forgive everyone who has ever offended me.'
Humility is not announcing our own achievements.Humility prefers others.
Humility is not something that is given to us.Humility is something we do to ourselves.
Stepping out with you,
Phil Pringle
